June 6,1954!

When I was a kid and I learned in school about D-Day, June 6, 1944, I started calling it Debbie Day....June 6th after all was my birthday...I have always enjoyed history and it was my favorite subject in school...anyway today I am 54 years old/young... wish my body was younger!  Paddy Charles just called to make sure I got his birthday call today... love my boys!  I have been hanging out with Chase today, Ryan and Nici's golden retreiver.  Ryan was called to the Young Men's Presidency in his new ward and it is youth conference....so he is camping.  He should have a great time, he loves camping and kids however won't get much sleep I think...Nici started her new yesterday as a director of a day center south west of Salt Lake about 30 minutes north of where they live now...so she when on up to her parent's and I am taking care of my "granddog".  It is funny how he knows that I really love him when I come over to their place he starts crying and gets so excited...Ryan said he asked him the other day if he wanted to go to grandma's and he did the same thing...yes, I said really he just probably heard you say go but Ry said it was a different reaction...of course he might realize that Sirvante's ( don't know if I am spelling that right) the dog of Dave and Kathy's where I live is here.....the other day when he was here they where playing keepaway with a stuffed toy in the backyard.  I see if I can find a picture of them and if it shows up on here I am learning!  OK, I got three pics and then I lost them I think!!!!!!

Well, after trying to post several picitures I did get two on.  Still lots to learn.  Moving day is Saturday the 24th.  With the help of some great friends I already have the kitchen put away in the new apartment.  I just about have everything packed, just some odds and ends.  So, I guess this is going to happen!!!!!  If you get on this site and you are not in my friend list post a comment with the address and I will get it on my list.

This is a regular shot off of the upper deck.  You can see the arbor with the wisteria and the mountains and Utah Lake is out there too.  Hard to see in the picture.  Over in the right middle is the little gezbo where the fountain and pond are.

Lots to get off my leg

My cast is off!!!  Walking has been going really well.  I was pretty hesitant Thursday and Friday.  Saturday I practiced more and it doesn't feel too bad.  I go to the PT tomorrow and will find out how I am really doing.  I think that I can go to just a cane later this week.  Didn't get a picture of the casts.  I could get a picture of the 4 1/2 scar but I don't want to gross anyone out.....we'll have to see.....

Moving is only 3 weeks away.  Nici is going to go over with me on one of the evenings that Ryan has class this week to get a look at it with out all the stuff the other tenants had in there.  May have more pics.
